The Sorrento Sullivan Recreation Center DBA Schoodic Byway Event Center was incorporated in 1958 and is here to serve the towns of Sorrento and Sullivan and existing area towns to provide a centralized place for gatherings.The building offers 2600 sf event hall, a 400 square foot kitchen and a 250 square foot meeting room which are available to rent as well as provide space for town meetings and functions.
Within the building are included spaces for the Frenchman Bay Library; the Sullivan Sorrento Historical Society offices and museum and archives and the Sullivan Thrift shop which provides funds for our local pet pantry.
In close proximity to the building are the Sullivan Playground, Basketball court, Skate park and walking trail.
Greeley Hall: a 60′ x 45′ hall with high ceilings suitable for meetings, birthday parties, weddings, baby showers, memorial services graduations and much more. Adjacent to the hall is a large kitchen with a pass thru service counter. The hall seating capacity is approximately 200 and the parking lot has spaces for 75 cars.
Frenchman Bay Library: a local library open to residents in the area.
Historical Society offices : providing source for geneology searches and local property maps and records.
Community room: offering a space for small groups
Town Playground: for children in the area
Town Basketball court and Skate Park offering spaces for outdoor activity
Walking trail : offering a level surface for walking.
